Hi, I’m Kaley Chapin, founder of Coastal Submittals, based on California’s Central Coast. I launched this company to support the trades by handling the permitting, paperwork, and administrative tasks that often delay or distract from the work happening in the field.
With a deep understanding and respect for contractors, builders, small business owners, and homeowners the people who keep projects moving I built Coastal Submittals around efficiency, trust, and professionalism.
Construction isn’t just something I admire it’s part of my life story. I grew up watching my father work in the oil fields, and from a young age, I understood the grit, skill, and dedication it takes to work in the trades. That experience shaped my appreciation for the industry and the people in it — and it’s a big part of why I do what I do today.
My background includes hands-on experience with city and county building codes, permitting coordination, contract renewals, budget planning, and project administration. I’ve worked in industries like solar, HVAC, engineering, and within a local government jurisdiction, giving me a strong understanding of the processes that can slow a project down and how to move through them efficiently.
As someone who’s worked behind the scenes in construction-related roles for years, I saw a gap especially for small businesses, solo contractors, and homeowners who don’t have the time or knowledge to handle administrative details. That’s where I come in.
